Important rumor here, we can already see a few of this things in effect. Qol platform integrate 7th/8th generation platforms, peripherals, new hardware.

Rumored QOL Specs:

• Inspired by Yamauchi
• New system codenamed the true successor
• QOL platform integrates all 7th/8th gen Nintendo platforms, peripherals, and new hardware.
• QOL is a single software production line across multiple devices. 1 game on any device. ( R: 007 )
• Member accounts expand from NNID in new cloud based system. Includes Loyalty program and special discounts. Discounts not dependent on purchase.  ( n: out now since March 2017 as My Nintendo )
• Loyalty accounts are successor to NES internal membership software from the 1980s. ( n: Nintendo have closed NES Internal membership and merged it in My Nintendo )
• Digital Software tied to accounts and not devices, transfer ability included for current libraries. ( n: Right now you need to call Nintendo to redownload your games from other devices, but yeah its attached to your account, you can transfer with a phone call ! )
• New Amiibo Card Identification personalize Amiibo with user Miis.
• Account system integrates phones with new dedicated Mii App. ( n: in place as Nintendo ID and Miitomo )
• Mii App to include live demos of Nintendo games and small apps like Mii fashion shows, Miiverse ( n: only web version for now ), media archives, digital purchasing ( n: idem not an app only web version ) and online installing.
• High performance emulator streams to any device enhancing and remodeling cloud data to perform like any native console digitally. Backwards compatible.
• Subscription to digital magazines, comics ( R: 03/01/2012 ) and media delivery service involving Amiibo.
• Revolutionary biometric diagnostic gameplay mechanics. Will sync with server, portable virtual display and wireless 3D positioning devices. 
• QOL integrates entire living area with world outside the home
• In development since 2008 ( n: Nintel, ES ? )
• Voice recognition in and out of games.
• One goal is to eventually have hearing-impaired children ( n: Resmed, Health ) use as a communication tool outside the classroom.
• Words are converted to text, and the data is stored and accessed through the cloud, allowing students to also review and study later as well as see spoken words written in real time. ( n: Ibm Cloud text to speech analysis )
